Other materials such as ABS, Tepmax 66, Tepmax MDS are available for washers and custom parts. Plastic washers are used in manufacturing, construction, automotive, and many other industries. Common washers are typically disk-shaped with a hole in the middle, and used to distribute the load of a fastener Nylon is commonly used in a variety of applications due to it's excellent properties:
  • Good wear and static performance
  • Withstands high temperatures
  • Vibration resistant
  • Anti-magnetic
  • Non-toxic
  • Non-aging
  • Non-sparking
  • Non-flammable
Depending on your specific use, you will want to determine the right type of plastic for your washer.
  • Nylon: One of the most used plastics in the world because it is strong and is very wear-resistant, nylon can come into contact with a wide range of chemicals and acid without reacting.
  • Polyethylene: This plastic is flexible even at low temperatures. You can spot a polyethylene product because it floats in water. Use for corrosion resistance.
  • PTFE: This plastic can be used in temperatures between -100 degrees F to +400 degrees F. It is a popular choice because of the thermal and insulation properties.

Nylon is effective as a material and the versatility of the washers make it a great choice for construction, compressor, material handling, washers will always play an important part in most projects helping to protect other components during machine operations.
Fabrication services available – Extrusion and slitting to your specification. Machined, punched and stamped process can be applied to provide additional benefits
